Barb Belokopitsky won longest drive in the women's category.

Matt Belokopitsky won the closes to the pin on the 8th hole.

Labor Day Events

50/50 raffle being sold throughout the campground and in the store.

Lottery Ticket and Cash Raffle

$50.00 bill surrounded by 100.00 in lottery tickets. Must be 18 to purchase a ticket.

Friday September 1st

Campground Bonfire 7:30 PM-10:00 PM. Bring a log, smores makings or even grill a hotdog. Bring your guitar. Glow-in-the-dark necklaces will be provided. 

Saturday September 2nd

Bake Sale 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. Donate a goodie. Bring it to the store or the Ostertag Hall on Saturday.

Auction 10:00 AM- 3:00 PM In the Ostertag Hall

Three types of Auctions will held this year.

1. Silent bid  Bidding on bid sheets

2. Blind Bid All bidders submit sealed bids.

3. Tricky Tray Buy a ticket and drop it in the jar. More tickets, more chances.

Sunday September 3rd

Relay races 

1. Kayak Race 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Starting at North Beach

2 person teams entry fee $10.00/team. One team member will paddle to south beach, get out and tag their partner and the second team member paddles back to North Beach.

2.  Pool Noodle Pick Up Race. 3 person teams Entry Fee 10.00. to be held in the baseball field

A team member takes turns collecting the noodles and handing them off to the other team member.

Labor Day Picnic: 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM Outside of the campstore

Gregson Brothers Band: Will be entertaining us between 6:00 PM -9:00PM. In front of the campstore

Dance Moves Competition 8:00 PM-9:00 PM. Donate $1.00 and show the crowd your dance moves. Fan favorite wins the title and a fun prize.

Thank you to Nola King and Nancy Sayles for co-chairing the Silent Auction this year. Saturday, September 2nd Bake Sale: 9:00am – 1:00pm (To be held in Ostertag Hall) Donated baked goods / goodies will be sold! Get your mixers going and bake up a delicious yummy! Information regarding drop-off location and times will be forthcoming along with labeling suggestions. Auctions: 10:00am – 3:00pm (To be held in Ostertag Hall) There will be 3 types of Auctions held this year - Silent Bid – bids will be written down on sheets for all to see, selling each item to the highest bidder of the day. - Blind Bid – all bidders submit sealed bids so that no bidder knows the bid of any other participant. The highest bidder pays the price that was submitted. - Tricky Tray – a variety of donated items will be displayed along with a jar; instead of bidding, participants buy tickets and drop their ticket(s) into a desired item(s) jar.  Wakonda Family Campground, Inc. is a cooperative established in 1990 consisting of 132 campsites and 16 cottages. Wakonda is located on 82 acres at 3915 East Schroon River Road, Pottersville, New York, 12860. The Cooperative property fronts a thirty-five acre private lake (Lake Wakonda) and a  one-half mile of Schroon River, one

WHAT IS A COOPERATIVE?

A form of real estate ownership consisting of a corporation whose shareholders own and occupy a property and share in the responsibility of its maintenance.  Wakonda has 148 shareholders who own and operate the property jointly, each with voting rights in proportion to the number of shares held for the cottage or cam

Together with the shares acquired, each shareholder receives a proprietary lease entitling the shareholder to exclusive occupancy of the cottage or campsite that has been purchased.

  •   Road maintenance
  •  Maintaining the water supply system and furnishing water up to the shut-off valve of the cottage or campsite
  •  Maintaining a secondary electric distribution system and furnishing electricity to the common building and campsites
  •  Trash pickup weekly
  •  Furnishing fuel
  •  Cleaning laundry, pers

WHAT SERVICES DOES THE CO-OP PROVIDE?

During the off-season campground gates are locked, utilities are shut off and campers units remaining on the property must be securely stored in accordance with regulations. Campsite owners are welcome to visit the property during the off-season for hiking, bicycli

Cottages may be occupied at any time during the year.
